Herpes is a disease that is plaguing the world for hundreds of years. I say afflicting because like AIDS, there is no cure for herpes. This virus is generally transmitted through sexual activity. Herpes is a hard virus to investigate (i.e. finding a cure for herpes), due to its dormant nature. This virus makes itself known through the appearance of outbreaks.

Herpes outbreaks are blisters that can be found on the genitals or around the pubic areas. When the outbreaks are finished the virus lies dormant in the nerves, until the immune system weakens, causing another outbreak. This is why it is proving so difficult to find a herpes cure, it does not live in the cells it hides in the nerves when dormant.

Herpes Cure Facts

Currently many people are working hard to try to find a cure for herpes. However right now the only form of medication is that which helps suppress the herpes outbreaks and topical treatments to kill the virus once an outbreak occurs.

The simple fact that herpes is a virus makes it so hard to find a herpes cure. Normally your body's immune system will deal with and destroy any viruses it finds but that fact that the herpes virus hides itself so well in the nerves when in the dormant phase makes finding a herpes cure a more difficult task.

Herpes Cure Drugs

Medication is currently the only solution that we have for herpes. Antiviral medication can help suppress the herpes outbreaks (but not cure herepes) and (sometimes) keeps the condition dormant. However exposure to lots of stress can still cause a herpes outbreak. As of now there are no approved herpes vaccinations; however scientists are testing vaccinations on willing participants.

Being careful cannot cure herpes, but...

When considering this situation one must remember that there are preventative measures that people can use as to not come into contact with this virus. When having sex, one must make sure that protection is used. This is not 100% safe, but it greatly reduces the chance of becoming infected.

Oral sex will also spread the herpes virus. By using a condom you will prevent the spread of herpes in this manner. It is simple to do and whilst it is not a herpes cure, it will at least prevent you from contracting or spreading the herpes virus

Chastity is the only way to avoid contracting herpes from any form of sexual intercourse.
